Airplane on Beach. Fraser Island, Australia
When I visited Fraser Island in Queensland, I took a short plane trip from some guys who sold flights from the beach. They said that Fraser Island was one of the few places on Earth where planes landed on a beach. I have no idea if that is true, or even how to verify it if it was, but it makes for an interesting story.
This is what I dreamed of when I learned how to fly airplanes. This and landing ON the water. Floatplanes also rock. :)

Barra, Scotland is another. They claim to be the only tidal airport. You can only land when the tide is low, not enough runway when it's high.
