– The strip is one massive optical illusion. All of Las Vegas is located on a very flat plateau. As such, you can see a long way into the distance. Everything on the strip is built oversized. The signs are enormous. South of the strip on Las Vegas Blvd. there is as strip mall with …
There are no things in life more serious than the internet and traveling. Put them together and you get something more serious than a heart attack in the middle of a church service. So I’m back in Sydney now where I can once again wear sandals and short and not worry about freezing. My goal …
I’m safe in Auckland. It’s dark and I’m tired, but so far I like the city. It reminds me of Toronto. I’m going to spend all day here tomorrow cleaning my clothes, getting my hair cut, and figuring out my schedule for the next two weeks. It rained all day on Rarotonga….until I borded the …
I’m off to Kiribati in a few hours, with a short stop over in Nauru. At most, I hope to get a Nauru passport stamp. I’ll be there for four days before I leave, again, for Fiji and Tuvalu. Then it’s on to Hawai’i on August 14. I hope to have my Rennell update finished …

I’m off to Wisconsin again to put another load of crap into storage and have Thanksgiving with the family. I’ve also started a myspace site for my trip. If you have Myspace account (and I don’t blame if you don’t have one), you can add me at http://www.myspace.com/everythingeverywheretrip.
6am. 4 hours sleep. Only 3 or so boxes left in the house I smell foul. I’m tired. Walk-through is in 3 hours, then sign the documents and turn over the keys. Then transfer stuff to my dad’s truck. Then, I’m free.
