This photo is the shadow of Mauna Kea, the highest point in the Pacific, being cast onto the clouds at sunset. Mauna Kea is home to the largest telescopes in the world. The reason they sit on Mauna Kea is because the peak usually is well above the clouds, as you can see in this photo.

I couldn't expect less from Hawaii, this area has the greatest spots on Earth, they are so amazing that you find it hard to believe you are actually on Earth. Hawaii is awesome, it definitely worths visiting. Hotels in Hawaii fuel a real touristic industry and I find it impressive.

Awesome picture!!! I can´t wait until I´ll be there on my own.

Hi Gary,
I love what you’re doing. I grew up traveling and living around the world. I did a lot of that by ocean liners. We took one six week trip from Rio de Janero to Rangoon, Burma, stopping in several countries. It was wonderful.
I just wrote a blog with a link to your site.

Happy adventuring.
