The image I have of Aruba is definitely not cacti. I have to confess, the pervading image in my mind’s eye are lovely voluptuous women. Why? Because when I was in the Philippines, the Miss Universe contender for Aruba was hooked up with a Filipino playboy and her photos were constantly on the front pages of the boulevard press. And she was hot!
Actually, Aruba is almost nothing but cacti. It is a very arid island. They used to be the largest producer of aloe vera in the world.
