I’ve been there! I went to Aruba in 2007 by myself. I think I was the only tourist on the island who came alone. The security at the airport in Aruba let everyone through, but when they saw that I was by myself, they instantly pulled me aside and questioned me about why I was there.
The truth is, I went to Aruba because my parents, who own a timeshare there, had to cancel at the last moment. So I booked a flight to the island myself and had my parents’ timeshare all to myself. It was pretty awesome actually!
