Forest Fire Regrowth, Kosciusko National Park, NSW
Australia is currently in the middle of a heat wave which is causing wild fires in the southern parts of the country. Like many tress in the American west, forests in Australia have adapted to regular fire and actually require it for growth. This photo is of a stretch of forest which burned several years ago and is now coming back to life.
