The palace of the Sultan of Brunei. This is as close a view as I could get. It is the largest residential palace in the world. It really doesn’t scream “royal palace” so much as “convention center” or “casino”.

The security arrangements at the palace are really strict. The palace is surrounded by security guards and elites. The palace beauty is worth seeing in night.
It's not netting, It celebrating lights for the coming Hari Raya Festivities. Most town areas, goverment and private sectors like to decorate with bright lights during for Hari Raya.
On the left side of the picture shows a little bit of the large field located there. His Majesty likes exercising or riding his ponies there sometimes.
What's with the netting? Are the grounds also a kind of zoo? Is it to keep birds in, or to keep unwanted birds out?
