Scala Sancta (The Holy Stairs), Rome, Italy
The Scala Sancta (The Holy Stairs) are believed to be the stairs which Jesus walked in the palace of Pontius Pilate in Jerusalem. It was believed to be brought to Rome in the 4th Century by St. Helena, mother of the Emperor Constantine.
