Giant clam, Great Barrier Reef, Australia

A giant clam in the Great Barrier Reef. This is of the genus Tridacna. I’m not sure of the species, but I think it was a gigas. It was about the size of my torso.

What camera did you use to get that color? The color in my Great Barrier Reef photos is washed out compared to that (and the real thing)

You have to adjust the white balance in post processing when you take underwater photos. The light is filtered by the water to let mostly blue light through. Just use the white balance tool in Photoshop and it should fix it.
