   I have taken many pictures of St Marks and never once thought of taking a shot like this one. I have shots with the sun on the face and behind but wasn’t looking for anything as artistic as this. It makes me re think my whole idea behind my picture taking.

     I was on the deck of a ship as it sailed past St. Marks when I took this photo. It is difficult to get this high in Venice, let alone from this angle.

     If I wasn’t at that place and time, I might not have been able to do it.
