When I was in Bali, I couldn’t believe how old some of these terraces were… I heard some were nearly 2,000 years old. Amazing they could last.
Beautiful photo! I saw something on Travel Channel the other day about rice terraces in Japan. It’s amazing how people can make the most use of the land they have.
I fell in love with the rice terraces in Bali, I didn’t know there could be so many shades of green – just amazing.
That is such a weird picture. Whats making all the grooves in the soil?
