I leave the Big Island today for Maui. Other than visiting Haleakala National Park, the only thing on my agenda is getting SCUBA certified. I have a 8:15am flight from Hilo to Maui which should take like 15-20 minutes. I can’t check into my hostel till 5pm, so I’ll try and get my visit of Haleakala done today. I should have a lot of time to post updates, photos and video which I haven’t had time to do yet.
Last night I saw the sunset on top of Mauna Kea, which was amazing.
After Maui, I’ll do a one/two day stop in Molokai before heading to Oahu. Most of my Oahu time will be spent getting organized for the first few weeks outside of the US.
Oh, I finally got my GPS cable working with my camera, so you can starting viewing images via the map in Flickr.

Some great photos so far Gary, the only thing I can say is they are coming out a little dark, try playing with your manual settins or use your editing software. You definitely know how to recognize a good shot.
At one point you said that we would see GPS coords on the blog posts as well. Is my browser merely broken or are they yet to appear?
