Bungee Jumping in Queenstown, New Zealand

Bungee Jumping in Queenstown, New Zealand

This photo is obviously not taken by me, but it is a photo of me, so it sort of counts :) Queenstown, New Zealand is the home of bungee jumping so I figured I should give it a try while I was there. You can see a video of the whole jumping off a ledge experience here.

What if the ledge fell apart? YIPES!

    Now THAT I must do

I would never do that, first time I went on a roller coaster (and keep in mind I was about 17 my first time) my heart nearly exploded. So I stay away from godawful free falling.

  4. OMG! We all love roller coasters and traveling the world, but you sure are not going to see me do this at my age! Not with my vertigo….which already has been challenged to the max on our family RTW!

Now if I can just keep my daughter from doing it as she is fearless and loves thrills. ;)

    You go Gary!

Wow amazing picture. Looks so dangerous but I guess that's the thrill. I really like your blog – you've been to so many places! I also have a travel blog on Mexico travel. Check it out if you get a chance http://www.mypueblobonito.com

    Cheers!

Is that the “official” venue photography unit? How bad would it be if the person taking the picture messed up and missed it?

  8. Austin says:

Wow…just wow. I don't know if I'd have the guts to do that. It's too bad the photo wasn't more zoomed in on you, that's an awesome pose.

  9. Jan says:

That actually looks more dangerous than bungee jumping into the river. Hope you didn’t hit the trees below.
