An American WWII memorial in Noumea, New Caledonia. All over the Pacific I saw reminders of the Pacific campaign from WWII. I’ve been able to visit most of the places where major battles were fought including Papua New Guinea, Guam, Saipan, Pearl Harbor, Guadalcanal, and Okinawa.
