First Thoughts on the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
I made it to Saigon with little trouble (FYI, I’m going to call it Saigon, as most of the locals still do. It is my belief that at some point, it will revert back from Ho Chi Min City just like Lenningrad changed back to St. Petersburg). We took about a half hour to cross [...]
Next Stop Is Vietnam
This is my last night in Cambodia. Tomorrow I’m off to Saigon at 9am. I’m not looking forward to the bus ride, but is only $12 so I think I’ll survive. Sadly, the ear buds stopped working today so no music. Phnom Penh isn’t my favorite city . I dare say it is on the [...]
Seagull and Rainbow in Milford Sound, New Zealand
In honor of my Seven Wonders of New Zealand, today’s photo is probably the one photo I’ve taken which belongs on a motivational poster. If you notice, you have a seagull, a rainbow and a waterfall. Those from the Successories Corporation who wish to contact me can do so via email.

A small island on Lake Te Nagno on Rennell Island, Solomon Islands
One of the most remote places I’ve been to on my trip is the island of Rennell in the Solomon Islands. The eastern third of the island is a brackish lake called Lake Teganno. The lagoon area is populated with these tiny islands, often holding a single tree. Read more about my adventure on Rennell [...]
