		<description>Sorry, but as a geologist you may hopefully understand, that I, as an egyptologist, couldn&#039;t resist: The pyramids weren&#039;t built by jewish slaves. The Jews came MUCH later. The pyramids were actually built by the Egyptians themselves. As far as we know today, it was during the period of inundation, when the Egyptian farmers didn&#039;t have anything better to do, that they worked on building the pyramids for their king. A crazy thing to do from todays point of view, since it was extremely hard and even dangerous work, but you&#039;ll have to think the way they did back then. By building their king a decent funeral site, they got a &quot;bonus&quot; for their own afterlife.
Anyway, the pyramids were built during the Old Kingdom, whereas the Jews appeared in the New Kingdom, approximately 1000 years later.</description>
